Pension Overview

Kansas

KPERS members are vested after 5 years and must generally attain 85 pts to retire with no penalty.  Other scenarios exist. KPERS pension changes since 2009 mean different teachers will have different formulas. Considerations must also be made for any breaks in employment: Free pension report

Missouri

PSRS (education licensed) and PEERS (non licensed in education) members are vested after 5 years and in most cases must attain 80 pts to retire.  PEERS service can be converted into PSRS.  PSRS members dot pay into and will not collect social security.  Let me simplify things for you: Free pension report
